Guys have been buying drinks for as long as I can remember. In fact most guys think that they must buy the girl the drink. Let me teach you a little something that I have picked up after spending a lot of time with women. how to start a conversation with a girl ?
About 3 months ago I went out and met 2 girls at a local club, we started talking and somehow we ended up talking about guys buying girls drinks. So I took the opportunity to ask them something that has been on my mind for quite some time. I asked "If you let a guy buy you a drink are you at all interested in them?" The answer was surprising, they said that they almost never even slightly like the guy, in fact if they do like the guy they are shy and won't even try ask for a drink. They continued saying that the only reason they asked these guys is because they know they know they will and score free drinks.
This does not mean to never buy a girl a drink, it depends on the context of the conversation. If a random girl that you just met asks for a drink then she probably does not like you and you are just going to waste your money chasing something that you will never reach as she is just scoring a free drink.
But think of it this way if you don't buy her drink and she stays and chats that probably means she is interested, at least a little. Then later maybe after a drink or 2 you can offer to buy her a drink and if she offers later don't say no it shows that you are mature and that she is not after your money.
